Gold Ring set with Garnet

This handsome dress ring is handmade in our London workshop. A solid gold band (not gold plated or coated, but 100% gold) in 9 carat yellow gold is set with a deep wine red Garnet. The top of the stone is smooth but underneath is carved to make a ‘facet’ back, which catches the light and twinkles. The gold is hallmarked at the London Assay Office to certify that it is 9 carat gold.

Used as a gemstone since the Bronze Age the Garnet gives a sense of history and the stone has a warm and earthy feel.
