Returns and refunds of plain items that have not been engraved or personalised.
We have a 30 day refund and returns policy for all non engraved, non personalised items. Providing the item is returned within 30 days since you received it and providing it is ‘as new’ , with no damage and in a fully re saleable condition, then we will offer you a full refund or exchange.
If the item is a unique one-off item we may not be able to exchange for an identical item , in which case we will try to offer a similar item as a substitute if we have such a thing. If we are unable to provide a similar substitute or If you do not want the proposed substitute then we will offer a full refund which will be paid within one week from the returned item arriving back with us.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:
- Item has been scratched, or damaged in any way showing obvious signs of use
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Returns and refunds of engraved or personalised items.
Engraved items
We make every effort to create an item of jewellery that is exactly to your expectations. If an item is to be engraved we will send you an order confirmation letter showing what we will be engraving. For crests, this will include an image of the crest , normally an engraving example from Fairbairn’s book of crests. Or it could be a sketch. Our seal engraver will create a piece of work that is very similar in style to the design shown and agreed but we ask to respect that each engraving is an individual artwork and is subject to some ‘artistic licence’ so it may vary a bit. We do not provide a sketch in advance as we find this compromises the artistic styling of the engraver, in our experience this constrains the artists’ flair too much and can result in not such a good result. It is best to trust the artist.
Alternatively you may wish to supply a piece of artwork or an image of a previous ring (or a print) of the crest or design. If we think the supplied design will not work so well (in a seal engraving format) we will ask if you want it engraved as closely as possible to your design or whether you would like the image engraved in a more detailed traditional version at ours and the engravers discretion.
Refund Transactions
We will refund by the means that you have paid for the item.
Please allow 5 working days for the refund to show on your bank or credit card statement.
If you haven’t received a refund within 5 working days.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Shipping details for your return
As most of our items are of significant value so we ask you to return using Royal Mail Special Delivery. Royal Mail are one of the few carriers to guarantee Jewellery and valuables and have a good insurance system paid at point of dispatch. Please use your local post office to send the item.
The Royal Mail Special Delivery Insurance system starts at £750 value of item and covers in increments up to £2500 in value. For your own protection, please select the correct value for the item and retain the printed reciept. Please double check the delivery address and postcode you are sending to and if in doubt please call us on 01548 831070.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning the item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Please write your own address clearly on the parcel aor the Royal Mail labelling just in case the package gets returned to you. (If our address has been mispelt etc).
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
